What Luck Betide Us
A crusade, as it’s called in the west — also known as a jihad in the east and occasionally called a WAAAGH! among the orcs for obscure reasons — refers to any military campaign undertaken for primarily religious reasons. The term “holy war” can be considered a less diplomatic version of the same concept.
It is believed the Kingdom of Hout-Kemet and the Reburian Empire engaged in occasional crusades against each other over the centuries; this may even be the reason why the two ancient human empires fell, although modern archaeologists have not fully uncovered the secrets of either empire.
Despite their differences, the Great Kingdoms of Khemenelda have thus far avoided open religious conflict, although many wonder what the Farhelfik Commonwealth may be plotting in their halls of ancient stone.
